D-Link India Customer Support

I am using D-Link Wireless Router at home, it was disconnecting me from the net frequently. I guys on D Link India website for solution, they replied back in a day, I provided the necessary details to them (Firmware version, hardware version etc…), in 2 days I got new firmware version file in mail…

Upgraded the router…and everything started working fine :)

So one more good company with good customer support which I came across….

    Hi,

    I have the mtnl triband 512 kbps connection with the 502-T router. I need to acquire the internet connection to multiple PCs. Is this possible through an ethernet switch for my LAN setting? How do i go about it and which ethernet switch model is the best that can work.

    I’m stumped with the DSL-502T modem. I have two laptops. One has xp which also has wireless and works fine. The DSL installed without a hitch and till today works like a dream. My second laptop, a PII machine, is runniing win 98. Now the CD that came with it does not have the INF file which is needed for installation. So I went to the website of Dlink india. downloaded the driver specifically for win 98 which included the Dlink_DSLs.inf file. However, win 98 does not recognize it and give an error that it does not contain information of the hardware. I thereafter checked the manual again. The inf file for win 98 is supposed to be DLink_502t.inf . Can you help me get this file and do you think that should fix the problem?

    hey shawn,

    the MTNL PASSWORD THAT u changed is within the router kas config..

    to enter into the router username password is both ‘admin’….

    hi,
    i have buoght DSL 502T router and i have take BSNL Braodband connection. i can connect to broadband through USB port of Router.
    When i remove USB and connect Ethernet card to router i am not able to connect to broadband. it gives me Error 678.
    Please help in Setting up router to use ethernet instead of USB

    I have a small network of four computers which are connected thorough a switch (Switch – not a hub). I have an ADSL Internet connection and an ADSL Router.

    Right now I can connect only one PC to the Internet using the ADSL router. I have installed Kingate proxy software on that computer to share the Internet connection with other computers on the network. Now I wish to implement wireless Networking and I want to get rid of the proxy.

    I have some idea about how to set up a wireless LAN but first I want to remove the proxy. I tried plugging the Ethernet cable from ADSL router to the Switch but it didn’t work. After doing some research on the Internet, I found that I need a router. Is router different than an ADSL router?

    If I want to remove the proxy and let every computer connect the Internet directly to the Internet then what all devices will be required besides the one that I’ve already got?

    Which devices should I purchase so that I can share the ADSL connection and set up a wireless network?

    as per manual instruction installation is ok. but i get error no-678 always. my connection work normal with broadband UTscanner.

    Hi,

    I want to take MTNL broadband connection.
    I would like to buy Dlink 502 T router.
    I have a doubt……its output is 10/100 Mbps & my laptop has Gigabit ethernet card. Can I connect Dlink 502 T router to my laptop?

    Also, I would like to know whether just buying Dlink DI 524 wireless router alone, can I access wireless internet ? or do I need to buy both routers?

    Help me.

    I have a Conexant ADSL router with its IP set as 192.168.1.1 and a DI-524 D-Link wireless router with its lan IP set as 192.168.1.2 and a PC with a network card whose address is 192.168.1.3. When I connect the dsl router to WAN of D-Link router and connect my PC to the Wireless router switch I am not able to access internet. But when I connect the ADSL router direct to my PC Network card with the same IP settings internet works. Can some one give a solution to enable me to use the wireless router and get connected to the internet

    I am using a broadband connection provided by VSNL using Conexant ADSL router whose address is set to 192.168.1.2. When it is connected to my machine whose NIC address is set to 192.168.1.3 ia ma able to get connected to the internet.

    I tried connecting the adsl router to a WAN port of DI-524 wireless router whose address is set as 192.168.1.2. my network card address and adsl router address remain the same. But now I am unable to connect to the internet.
    If some one could give a solution I would be much obliged.

    I have a MTNL UT-300R2U modem. I am trying to install a Linksys router/wireless box. When I plug everything in (in the sequence recommended by the Linksys manual) to do the intial config, my laptop (i dont have a PC but that should not be the issue) is able to config it..its on dynamic IP setting, which is the setting when i connect the model directly to my laptop…I am able to even rename my router…however its not able to connect to the net…I have tried many times but am not able to cofig it (i have pressed re set on the linksys router many times to make sure i start afresh).

    I have a BSNL UT-300R2U modem. And i have installed that on my windows 98 successfully but when i try to install it on my Windows XP SP2, it gives me errors of rundll.dll and i am not able to install it. So if any one has some solution then let me know on darshan_jbb@rediffmail.com. Thanks for support.

    i have a DLINK Product -i.e. IP Sharer (internet sharer)which uses ‘no serve concept’. Now i have taken a BSNL Broadband connection. they have provided me a Router – (UT-300 R2U). so how to confirgure with IP sharer and i having win98 operating system on all PC’s. ( total – 5).
    please guide me for this

    Hi! I brought a GLB-502T ADSL2+ ROUTER and i have a bsnl’s dataone broadband connection. I tried different ways to connect to the net but all in vain.I cheaked the vlc to 35 and did many other things.. So is this router compatible with bsnl? If so, can u tell me a clear proceedure… help needed/Thank u….

    Iam one of ur satisfied customer , using ur ADSL-502T router from last 1 years its not showing any problem. Now you have released glb-502T it is creating a problem for me.I can’t able to connect through PPPoE mode. I heard that to connect through PPPoE mode MAC address has to be changed , why is it so…BSNL people are saying it wont support for PPPoE .

    Hi Deep, I after reading your post I also asked the dlink support guys to provide me with a firmware file but they refused to it saying they cannot provide me the file & that I’ll have to go to the nearest RMA centre to get the job done. I wanna ask these people that if I didn’t know how to update the firmware why would I ask for the update files? When I know how to use a telnet client why should I go travelling 300 Kms just for and upgrade patch that is where the nearest RMA centre is.

    I have a Pronet External ADSL router which has been provided by a 3rd party recommended by BSNL for their Dataone broadband connection. This was configured to work with my Dell laptop and it is working fine. The connection between the laptop and router is Ethernet.
    However when I plug the ethernet cable into my wife’s IBM thinkpad the LAN LED display in the router remains blank. I have tried configuring the LAN TCP/IP properties of the thinkpad with the details provided but nothing works. Do I need a driver to be installed on the thinkpad.
    Please help.

    I have the same problem that Ganesh Sankaran has mentioned above.
    The ProNet router works on a Toshiba laptop, but absolutely fails to connect from my IBM Thinkpad. My IBM Thinkpad works on other networks though; so their customer service people say that there is no problem with the driver installed(Intel PRO/1000 MT Mobile Connection). Is it a compatibility issue?
    Please help..

    Unable to access Internet; I have got Dlink GLB-502T (ADSL2+ router), ADSL link LED is Off. Also in system logs it says DSL carrier down. Could it be an issue of firmware? or is it a issue with ISP? my isp is mtnl….its always problematic… Whot should i do?

    Hi,
    I am Sandeep Ganguly from Calcutta
    I have brought a Dlink GLB-502T ADSL2+ Router and it was working fine for 15-16 days. I use it to connect to BSNL Dataone broadband over PPPoE. Today, suddenly, it has developed this problem – ADSL light is flashing for a while, then going off, flashing again, going off. Its never getting turned on permanently, that is ADSL connection isn’t stable.
    However there is nothing wrong with the line. I have retained the BSNL supplied Huwai modem and its connecting just fine.
    Is there a problem with the modem itself?
    Note: The problem persists even when only the power and ADSL line from BSNL is connected (I have taken out the LAN cable)

    I have a DLINK GLB-502T ADSL2+ Router and its working fine with Windows XP but I have recently upgraded it to Windows Vista and Vista doesnt seem to install the drivers for the same properly. Is there any alternate updates on drivers to support on Windows Vista?

    Hi,

    I’m Using the D-Link G604T wireless router with an airtel connection of 2 MBPS. It was working fine till i had 256! as i have chenged to 2 MBPS. it has’nt bein connecting at all. have tried firmware upgrade to 2.00 something. But doesn make any difference.     I have installed DFM-562 E++ using the enclosed driver CD on my PC having WindowsXP SP2 OS . While installing, OS said the driver is not “Microsoft Signed”. After that it failed to install. Could you please help me.

    My GLB-502T modem/router was working fine at old address with MTNL broadband. I have now changed the house and when I installed the modem on USB port it does not get installed. The WIN WP gives a message : Device canot start(code10) and the router does not work. The Power light on router is ON, ADSL is ON, PPPoe remains off, USB keeps flickering. I have tried reinstalling the device several times-without any luck. Where can I get the latest device driver for GLB-502T and please help me to resolve problem.

    i have a DSL connection from MTNL triband in Mumbai. The router i am using is a DSL 502T. This week it stopped working on my desktop at work. However it works perfectly fine on my laptop.

    i cant even log into the router log in page, however when i ping the gateway it replies.

    any ideas what is wrong on the desktop?

    I am using MTNL Triband DSL NU(TriB 590 NU) 256 kbs
    previously i used to get 256 kbs download speed now i get only 20 kb.
    I have complained to MTNL , but they ask me to chk the website triband speed checkup.
    The websites shows 1000kb downloaded @0.224MBS in 40 seconds.[ as per websites download shows 224KBS]
    It simply means its 20 kbs

    have they put a limit in the server, so that i dont download.
