Yahoo Messenger 7 Beta India version

I have been using Yahoo Messenger 7 Beta Indian version for last 3-4 days, its pretty cool…specially Hindi Audibles…..and I also liked their new feature “Drag-and-drop file transfer “, which makes sending file much more easier…

Following is the list of features…

  • Drag-and-drop file transfer
  • Audibles that talk your language
  • Interesting avatars
  • Contact cards for one-click communication and access to Address Book
  • Easier access to Yahoo! Search
  • Indicators for new Yahoo! Mail
  • Coming soon new tabs for Cricket, Indian stocks and more

The known issues include

  • On Windows ME, there are intermittent crashes when you sign out and sign back in. To avoid crashes, completely exit Yahoo! Messenger and sign back in.
  • File transfer between the Yahoo! Messenger Beta and earlier versions of Yahoo! Messenger are not supported.

and it crashes on my XP too :( but worth giving it a shot…

UPDATE: If you are not able to see Hindi Audibles even after installing Indian version, then check your yahoo profile and make sure that Location is set to India, if not then change it to India, save it and relogin to messenger… It should show the Hindi Audibles now :)

    Yahoo mess installations are done at runtime directly through server,
    and if anybody wants a setup for that runtime download then you can get it at http://www.google.co.in
    Try searching there with “yahoo messenger” and select to view only indian pages.

    some timw m geting problem on ma yahoo mesenger….like ….yahoo messenger is not working means its nt opening its showing sum error
    sumthing like send sum error report like that…..could u plz tellme what is the reson……bcoz yaho messenger is very importent for me thats y plz help me …..

    some body sent me i message at yahoo chat in hindi. “मेरे तरफ से आपको होली की बहà¥Â?त सारीशà¥Â?भकामनाय़े ” do you know how to do that. The avobe message i just cut and paste here. But i dont know how to write it.
