I wanted to upgrade my current memory module from 256 MB DDR RAM to 1 GB DDR RAM on my Sony Vaio S Series Laptop, I called up Sony customer support here in India, I asked him about the rates for 512 MB stick and I was really shocked when I heard the rates…

He told me bloody Rs. 33,000 (Approx $730) for 512 MB of RAM…the amount he told me was not the exact amount but he just told me the approx rates…(sony used to sell RAM at these rates few months back) now it might be around Rs. 25-30,000. He recommeneded me to get Kingston Memory Module from outside and get it installed in any Sony Service center at free of cost.

I enquired about Kingston rates, damn, almost 10% of it, Rs. 4500 for 512 DDR RAM….

I am thinking of getting 2 modules of 512 MB soon…(god give me some more projects :D )

But sony should seriously rethink about their accessory rates…they shouldn’t sell same product at such high rates…

Mumbai Mirror? what’s it ? It is a daily tabloid published by Times of India (Bennett Coleman) group, I have read the paper couple of times, not a regular reader at all….I prefer Mid-Day :)

So now back to topic, I was reading review on mumbai mirror on the net, it was good review, giving light on small small errors they make in the papers, these errors include spelling mistakes, grammatical mistakes etc…

So I too got excited about finding these errors and believe me it did not take more than 10 seconds to find first spelling mistake and that too from home page of their website.

The article was about No entry for Miandad in India, I just copied the text and pasted in Microsoft Word and found the first spelling mistake… :D

here it goes… Read more…

I hate this IE…damn it sucks sometimes…

Now ask, what is the relation between IE and this post?

I had written long post and I donno what happened….it went to previous page (I think it was my finger touching touchpad)…so when I hit forward button again to come back to this page…I lost all the data I had entered :( So if I was using Opera at that time then it would have shown the old data from cache…

Anyways coming back to the topic….

Bug Me Not

I came across this site just now…this site provides login details of the sites which require user to register to access their site content…the idea behind the site is pretty cool…why to register in every other site if you are getting login details without registering ;)

Nothing illegal here just simple sharing….

Currently they have around 74000 sites in their database…

I checked out logging into NYTimes.com and it worked ;)

You can also give it a shot by visiting the site here BugMeNot.com
