I finished reading the book Web Standards Solutions: The Markup and Style Handbook by Dan Cederholm couple of days back and I must say, it is a very good book for designers, at least for the ones who are not much aware about of beauty of CSS and Web Standards…

I am not a web designer but I always like to try new things. In our office, we are working on adding new micro site, designer made the page design but he didn’t know CSS so I decided to make the layout i.e. from PSD to html / PHP…

I knew bit of CSS so I didn’t have much problems but yes after reading this book it cleared many of my doubts in CSS…

The book explains how to make sites which are very user friendly as well as according to web standards…there are some very good example of CSS provided in the book….it also shows how to make basic layouts using CSS (time to get rid of tables)

So to cover-up…..if you are a web designer and not much aware about CSS then you must buy it…but if you know CSS and want to get into advanced things then this book is not for you……..

My next book will be The Zen of CSS Design : Visual Enlightenment for the Web by Dave Shea, Molly E. Holzschlag
