I came across this great app called phpSitemapNG couple of days back when I was searching for some PHP based application which can generate xml file for Google Sitemaps

You just have to install this application on your server, there is nothing much to install, just need to change CHMOD of few files and get the things rolling… :)

This app is just too powerful…it scans each and every file hosted on the server, of course it has option exclude file types and folders (some common folder names and file types are already added in exclude list)…..

It has plugin support also, so you can just create plugin for your application according to your needs and get the things rolling :)

Their next version is going to have option to include remote sites so that sitemaps can be managed from centralized location….

The man behind this application, Tobias, is a pretty cool guy…now I have him on my messenger too :) He is currently looking for some people to contribute their plugins, he has also put up current requirements page, see if you can contribute something and make that app. much more powerful :)

That’s what I feel when national anthem start in the theatres. I am still trying to find out the relationship between movies and national anthem.

People say that they play national anthem to develop feeling of patriotism in people but can anyone tell me…how can it help to do so? I totally disagree with it, people stand in the theatre not because they have patriotism but they stand up because THEY HAVE TO, they stand up because everyone stands, they stand up because it’s a bloody stupid rule.

Patriotism can not be developed by force, I too have patriotism for my country and I respect my national anthem a lot but playing the same every time when I go for more movies just develops anger against the ones who have set this rule. (Do they ever take opinion of people before creating such kind of rules?)

Just imagine you went to watch some adult film like Murder, Basic Instinct or whatever and before that our national anthem starts….it feels like you have to say Jai Hind every time before watching porn (or may be semi porn) lol

No wonder if government passes the rule to play national anthem before starting any serial on TV, just to develop patriotism in everyone…

Everyone is not happy with anything and on top of that our politicians look for chance to dance whenever anything happens in the nation….this is a bit old incident (around 2 - 3 months back), I had noticed it couple of times on Mulund railway station….

At that time, government had hiked patrol and diesel rates.

So now opposition party got reason to come on the road, and that what they did, a leader from opposition party geared up with “band baja” (loud speakers and mic) and started shouting slogans against the government. There were around 10-15 people gathered around him to support him but rest of the janta was not quite happy with that morcha.

First of all they had gathered at the entrance of the station, so the entrance blocked and people have to come from other side…..2nd it was rush hour, around 7.30 in the evening…this is the time when most of the people come home and station is crowded…

In fact I also heard someone cursing them saying “Kya jab bhi kuch kaam nahi hota toh aa jate hai morcha leke” (what kind of people are they?, they start doing these kind of things whenever they are out of work) that was from the common man, for whom these politicians don’t care.

Politicians are known for these kind of morchas, whether it is any happy moment or it is sad, they will be standing around the corner with bunch of people around.

Government should have some strict rule for this, no politician or anyone should be allowed to carry these kind of morchas in crowded public places. We do not have any problem in morchas but we are just not interested in it so keep these kind of things in open ground where you and your supports can listen…if any one from general public is interested then they will attend your morcha for sure :)

Edit: Grr…I had enabled Textile 1 plugin by mistake and it was adding extra < p > in the lines…so I disabled it…everything looks fine now :D

Reached home just now after watching the movie Mangal Pandey, lot of hype, lot of expectations and in the end you come out with kind of sad face…

That’s what had happened with me…

The story

Director Ketan Mehta sweeps you back to 1857 when India was still grappling under the might of the East India Company. Indian soldiers spread across the country fought wars for the British in mute silence, despite living in penury themselves.

Mangal Pandey (Aamir Khan) is just another sepoy, ready to lay down his life for the force. His best friend is a white man, Gordon (Toby Stephens), whose life Mangal has saved during a battle in Afghanistan.

The problems begin when the British introduce a new rifle, which has its cartridges smeared with animal fat. Mangal and his entire regiment revolt against the new cartridges on religious grounds.

What begins as a mere rebellion against artillery eventually translates into a nationwide movement. Mangal Pandey is punished for his actions and subsequently hanged but he succeeds in laying down the foundation for an upcoming freedom struggle.
