Dubey, who is from Guna, in Madhya Pradesh, is the first winner to hit the Rs 1 crore mark in the second season of KBC. A graduate in electrical engineering from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology in Bhopal, he is married, and has a daughter.

But you bet, if they wouldn’t have told us about it, then it would have been real fun watching him winning….

As most of the people reading this might be aware that I run a company called Web1 Solutions, now I am thinking of putting something there for better interaction between users and company…

Many people told me to setup forums but I somehow feel that I really do not need the forums at this point of time; some kind of blog would be enough for me where I can make announcements, seek public onions etc…

So what all you guys think? Is blog enough? Or forums would be better choice?

For last few days I was eyeing on PHP based bulletin board, PunBB, it is basically a CSS based board which has all basic functionality needed for the discussion forums…installed one cool skin on it…also installed RSS mod on it…I liked PunBB because of its simplicity…features are only related to discussion…no extra stuff like PM, send this thread to friend or other eye candy you see in other boards….

To be frank I am quite used to vBulletin and I don’t know I somehow do not like bulletin boards other than vBulletin but still lets see…I am gonna use it for few months and if the member base increases then I will buy vBulletin

So moral of the story, if you need a simple board then you should check it out PunBB but for the board with advanced functionality…aha..this vBulletin lover is never gonna recommend any board other than vBulletin

Yup, I will call it as a bad day, Today morning I lost a deal with one client…but I am quite happy about it, because it ended with ego clash…the guy was treating as if we are his servants…so after testing my patience twice in the span of 6 months I finally could not stop myself from arguing with him…and ended up with lot of anger and no business but I am happy about it because it is better to loose these kind of clients in the beginning rather than doing business with them with the relationship like servant and the boss…

Nah Nah…I am not spamming about my hosting company here

I have seen many people asking me about cheap web hosting, people just consider the price and they do not see the features provided by web host..recently I was searching for some stuff on google and found an ad by Indian hosting company which claimed that we provide 1 GB reseller account just for Rs. 1,999 per year.

This looked pretty impossible to me, so I checked their site, checked the plan and found that they had forgotten to mention (or purposely did not mention) the bandwidth per month.

I contacted their sales person on live chat..and here is the chat…

So in short, it is just not possible to provide hosting at dirt cheap rates, if anyone is providing then you should consider other factors like, datacenter, backup solutions, server software versions etc.. in mind too
