I wasted my morning in fighting with my local cable net guy (Globcast.com Mulund - provides ExattNet connection). I got an email from them saying from this month they will charge Rs.50 extra as “maintenance charges”. Their net connection goes down daily for 1 hr approx (that’s what happening for last 3-4 days), their customer service is pathetic and they charge me Rs. 990 for 256kbps unlimited line.

Now MTNL comes in the picture here..I am currently using MTNL Triband at my office and am very satisfied with the net connection, no downtime at all, very decent speed…since there are no problems with the net so you do not need to call their technical support also…at least I haven’t called them till now…

I applied for Home also just now (DSL NU Plan), which gives 500 mb monthly downloads and from midnight 12 to morning 8, no download limits…

I watched the movie Hostage on DVD today, amazing movie…specially the guy, Mars (Ben Foster), damn good acting..even the kid Tommy (Jimmy Bennett) was very impressive…

A failed police negotiator turned small town cop, must save the lives of a family held hostage, which draws him into a much more dangerous situation.

It is a movie which should not be missed (I am gonna keep that DVD for myself )

After waiting for almost 5 days I managed to get my birthday gift up It is my company website actually… Putting it online after 1 year…I still have to fix few bugs on it…but still I had to launch it coz I couldn’t wait for long time..

I was searching google for pizza hut mumbai and found that smart google shows results for Pizza Hut and Pizza Hut India too…

Now that’s kind of hurting for SEOs around because it shows only 5 results for searched keywords..

My net is not working for couple of hours, I called up my local ISP and asked that female about it…

She asked me, what ISP you are on…I said Exatt…then she asked what error its showing…
I said, it is not able to connect to your server and does not show IP Address…

And a Bomb….

She said Sir, “Exatt ke connection mein IP address he nahi aata� (You do not get IP address in Exatt connection), I was like….kya? I said, Net kaise chalega IP address ke bina? (How can net work without IP address?)

She kept me on hold for 2 mins and replied back saying, sorry sir, Exatt mein IP address nahi aata…(Sorry sir, you don’t get IP address with Exatt net connection)

I asked her for the 3rd time and then finally she gave the line to some technical person and explained thing to him and now I hope the net starts in sometime soon.

(Net started after approx half an hour after writing this)
