Hey ppl,
On 14 th May, last Sunday a group of about 200+ppl got together to protest in the streets of Bangalore against the reservation policy that may be implenmented shortly. we should take the initiative of the nepal citizens as an episode to learn that the masses have more power than just voting. to restore democracy millions of citizens made long and continued protests and finally their voices were heard.
we too have to stand and fight for equity. and we should be a part of the system where democracy is infact
By the people and not BUY THE PEOPLE
Of the people and not OFF THE PEOPLE and
For the people and not FAR THE PEOPLE.
This is what the preamble says
WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a SOVEREIGN SOCIALIST SECULAR DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC and to secure to all its citizens:
JUSTICE, social, economic and political;
LIBERTY of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship;
EQUALITY of status and of opportunity;
and to promote among them all
FRATERNITY assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the Nation;
IN OUR CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY this twenty-sixth day of November, 1949, do HEREBY ADOPT, ENACT AND GIVE TO OURSELVES THIS CONSTITUTION.
Take out 2 mins and think about it and reflect on it.

I agree that the quota system compromises on quality of people getting into the institution. But that does not mean the same for the people who are coming out.
Beside we can be selfish & think of our benefit & problem with quota, but what bout the commitment that were made to the socially backward people after the independence?
Indian government has not made much difference in there life.
Beside we are categorising the competition with the socially back words & not giving them free seats(Just a supportive hand to come up).
I am happy with 73% seats.
We are always talking bout present & self, why people can’t see the long term problems that the suppressed people can create if there problem are not addressed.
I think Social Justice is more significant & Urgent that intaking quality people to Intuition.
I fear the eastern Zone may ask for independence from the Indian government as what happened with Kashmir. U may not be aware but I stay in a Naxal & ULFA & I have made a small scale research on them & I know they are not totally stupid when they ask for independence & a communist form of government.
All I want to say is what ever step the Indian government may take, It better consider everything else before things get out of control.

I was shocked for sometime when I read the post title @ my RSS Reader (Opera ofcourse), it showed Registered India.com, which I thought you almost purchased the domain, but looks this is really a offtopic.
Good Luck Deep!

@Ashis: Dude, please consider twice before posting such naive comments….The notion that only those with the label of ‘backward castes’ are really backward. Do you have any idea how many ‘Jha’s, Upadhyays, Banerjees, Mukherjees, Chatterjees, Iyers have to quit studying due to financial constraints. If not, this report: http://www.telegraphindia.com/1060430/asp/opinion/story_6157814.asp should serve as an eye-opener for you.
Yes, they are from the so-called ‘higher’ castes. Only the poor are needy, not some castes. I would be very happy to forget this caste thing. But governemnt won’t allow me to do so.
Can you show me even a single person from the quota system who has made a mark for his excellence?

Deep, your site man!! Wow!! Fantastic

“I think Social Justice is more significant & Urgent that intaking quality people to Intuition.”
Yeah, we have seen enough social justice for 59 years. So much so that someone with not even half the brains I have but who has the backing of reservations for the previous 3 generations can dare to comment on my father’s intellectual capacity. This is real but I don’t think the details are necessary. Others must have understood the context…….
First think clearly, then write it in a coherent manner to make your ideas clear to everyone.
” U may not be aware but I stay in a Naxal & ULFA & I have made a small scale research on them”
What do you mean by this? You stay in a ‘Naxal & ULFA’? What research? Show us the thesis.
“Beside we are categorising the competition with the socially back words & not giving them free seats(Just a supportive hand to come up).”
Yes, someone in UP earning 30,000 p.m already needs a supportive hand to come up.
Deep, sorry for the extra comment.

Where do politicians count beggars and poor labourers, above the class of the reserved tribes.
Rather than doing something better for the poor people the Government already wants to pamper the already pampered sector.
Don’t we have eyes to see the way the Government offices work with reservations in place for these people.
On top of that getting reservations is not a done thing, Mumbai pays 35000 crores of tax each year so we should have some kind of reservation in the Government plans for better infrastructure, but do we get noticed anywhere?
Let’s protest, do not vote in the next elections

Keith Dsouza,
Not polling or protesting the polls is not going to fetch anything. It will give more chance for rigging the polls. Instead of either one need to give chance to Independent contestants or invalid the polls by stamping on more than one contestent.
And one more problem is the educated generation never stay in there home town where they are eligible for voting. Most of them are away from polling booths. So they never vote, the most educated guys never vote….And there votes will be rigged.
Government has to start the electronic polling with fingure prints to identification. And there should be no room for rigging….This can be started in phases, may not be entire nation at a time, region wise it can go…
These are few Idea….But In real India has reached to such a hopeless state where govt employees and politicians are corrupted. Who are so powerful, that nothing can stop them when they are working together. But still we have to keep some hope…and try to save the nation…..
