Its too made up. Looks unreal. Aishwarya Rai looks life-less. She doesnt have the personality.. the voice of a Meena Kumari.. to carry the subject. Aishwarya Rai can wear skirts and dance.. and laugh.. but such historical roles are too much for her. Afterall she is a model., oversold ! Muzaffar Ali's Umrao Jaan was reasonably close to the subject.. and mature in content. Dutta failed miserably. JP Dutta’s Umrao Jaan is a miserable flop. Its too made up. Looks unreal. Aishwarya Rai looks life-less. She doesnt have the personality.. the voice of a Meena Kumari.. to carry the subject.
