I've gone for this movie last sunday.

I had an extra ticket with me due to absence of one of my frineds. I tried to sell the extra ticket, but nobody is interested in a "boring Naseerudheen Shah movie which deals with some issue". All they wanted is Salam-e-Ishq.

This movie surely needs some publicity, and deserved to be viewed by more people.

It's bad that the movies like Black Friday, Parzania and Documentaries like Final Solution stuck up with either Censors or Distributors. Even if they are lucky enough to survive these two, either they get unnoticed or over noticed. On former no one will be watching the movie, while on latter there will be activists(?) protesting against the screening.

Good that Black Friday is also releasing next week.

Parzania is distributed by PVR Cinemas. Good. But the net result is, no one other than PVR is screening it on Hyd. And PVR has only one show. That too at 10 PM.

Anyway, I've grabbed a ticket for this Sunday.

Isn't it cool that the number of shows in my city have gone up from 2 to 3 per day. I think it is pretty neat. I agree it is a really well made movie, too.

What can you say, when a movie hits all the right chords? Fabulous acting, nice compact script, very focussed direction. If I have to knit-pick I would say the things that didn't work were the aimless talk about Gandhiji's philosophy and the role of the American - only because his character's purpose was not explained properly - though I have my own ideas about the latter. Read these ideas and more at http://withoutgivingthemovieaway.com/reviews/2007/01/review-parzania.html
