Few years back, when there was some Saif Ali Khan starrer in the theatre, our reaction used to be like “Oh, it’s Saif Ali Khan, we can may be watch the movie on our video cassette player, why to waste money!!” But now times have changed, now people say “Oh, it’s Saif, let me book the ticket now or it will be houseful!!” Well, yea, now Saif can carry whole movie on his shoulders. Excellent growth. (Like Akshay Kumar)

I am not going to waste much of the time by praising Saif, so, let’s talk about the movie.

The movie is about car racer RV (Saif Ali Khan), how he gets into the racing circuit, how he falls into love with Radhika (Rani Mukherjee), how he wins the races, how he meets with an accident and how he spends life after that.

I know it is one of the worst way of storytelling but I am here to write the review :)

The movie overall is very well made but it might not be liked by some group of people. This group includes the ones who knows what actually “car racing” is. In this car race, there are no rules, anyone can crash other car purposely and walk off. No police, no investigation, nothing. BUT apart from that the movie is almost flawless. Those great locals (I really loved RV and Radhika’s house) and great music does not let you leave your seat. (My favorite songs: Hey Shona and Saaiyaan)

Oh, did I mention that Rani looks stunning super stunning in this movie, I just loved her new hairstyle. Damn, I have started falling in love with her.

On the acting front, Rani and Saif were impressive. I like the 2 kids, Champ (Ali Haji) and Princess (Angelina Irani). Javed Jaafri was kind of bad in his Gujju accent. (No one can beat Paresh Rawal here).

So in short, the movie is definitely worth a watch, it has got everything which a good masala movie needs.

I would give this movie 3.5 / 5.

One thing to learn from the movie is: Start planning about the future, save money and don’t rely on those cards with 16 digits embossed on it.

Predictometer: A sure hit. May not do good business in the small towns but it is surely gonna leave multiplexes packed for couple of weeks atleast.

Minal Panchal a girl from Borivili, Mumbai studying in Virginia Tech was killed in the mad shootout yesterday. The shootout took lives of 33 people include an Indian professor, G V Loganathan.

It just hurts me when a innocent person gets killed. Just imagine, a person enjoying the life fully with lot of expectations and suddenly one day, a bullet shatters everything. No dreams, no expectations, nothing.

May god bless the soul of Minal Panchal and everyone.

You can post your condolences in her scrapbook or here

This quote on Virgina Tech’s website leaves a greater impact on me…

We are sad today, and we will be sad for quite a while. We are not moving on. We are embracing our mourning. We are Virginia Tech …

If someone offers you a free lifetime credit card and if it is SBI, then please please please for god’s sake do not ever accept the offer. I have already made a mistake by applying for the SBI card and I do not want you guys to make the same mistake again.

Here is my story:

I had applied for lifetime free SBI card though Lifestyle departmental stores. I used the card on few occasions and cleared my payment from time to time. At that time I was using SBI’s online facility to check my invoices because I was not getting invoices by post. But After sometime, the online site stopped accepting my username and password and new registration also did not work. After 4-5 months a person from SBI visited my place and asked for the payment. On inquiring, I was told that I have to pay some Rs. 590 as installment and my alleged pending payment was around Rs. 3,000.

After talking to the manager, I got to know that invoices were being sent to wrong address and this way the interest got added with the actual amount. The person apologized for the same and assured me that he will send fresh copy of invoice with correct amount within 2-3 days. But till date I have not received that! After 3-4 months, I started getting invoices with the same incorrect amount.

I called up customer care regarding this issue. I was told to get in touch with GE via email. (feedback.gesbi@ge.com). But instead of getting a proper reply, I received a reply after 20 days stating that they were not able to find my account information in their database.

Well, Alexa’s data proves that. I was just going through list of top 100 sites in India. Out of 100 approximately 15 sites were related to porn, file hosting (people mostly use for downloaded pirated software) and image hosting (mostly used for porn picture hosting)

Popular file hosting site rapidshare is on 11th place and popular porn blog Debonairblog is on 14th. Other sites like megaupload, xboard, masalatalk etc.. follows them.

I compared the stats with other countries like US, UK and Pakistan. US had only 1 site in top 100 (imageavenue), UK had couple of sites in the list (AdultFriendFinder and ImageAvenue) and Pakistan had almost same sites as India (they might have topped the list too).

It seems kids have lot of free time in India and Pak.
