its a difficult problem to address and thats the reality about the internet usage in India.
When I was doing my BTech, when I say I am going to internet, people used look at me like I am doing some mistake.
Piracy is due to the costs.
But never ever forget that most of these sites are
developed and maintained by the other country people.
Statistics may not always be correct, I think piracy is more in other countries when compared to India.

Just to share, last day my home net is not working so I went to nearby net cafe`. In there, they have two sorts of desks, one is for those who are there for work and others for those who are there enjoyment (i think you got it right). And on those PCs they have lots of lots movies and off line data.
And what about the fully enclosed cabins in there, which are there for privacy and the couples used them exactly that is intended.. (i hope you all get that too…). I think it is real eye opener.

A Real eye opener
These kinds of people spoil the image of internet.
Still many people think(parents acutally:D) that internet is just for porn & chatting. When i tell people around me that i am a netizen & the first question they ask is that what i do on internet. Bad bad bad :mad::mad::mad::mad:

for piracy its justified as not only people but it prevails in some govt dept as well

Well, yeah! Kids either have a lot of free time, or it is because of the human tendency to do what you are told not to do….. I guess the safest way in which teens can take a glance at porn (without their parents’ knowledge, that is!) is porn websites,so they make full use of it! A sad situation, but its true! As far as File-hosting goes, well most of Indians, esp. kids n teenagers, to be very frank, cannot afford licensed software…so…its ‘Hail Piracy’!!

Not strange but the number came a little surprising as i am expecting a lot higher number of % of such sites in top 100.
. On Google trends if you search for word “Sex”, you will be amazed by the fact that out of ten three are Indian cities.
. Now the eye opener…
