Haha and you thought I would post all the pics of Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan.

This pic is special. If you look at it, you will see, Abhishek and Aishwarya are posing for the camera but if you look in the background, most of the photographers are busy with something else. haha

Thanks to Mid Day for this great pic.

Thanks to Shwetanshu for forwarding me the mail about MF Hussain’s painting and that mail became responsible for making me write about art and recent attacks happening on the artists.

I have seen many people talking about freedom in art and everything but I really do not understand the meaning of freedom here. Does freedom mean hurting sentiments of people? I do not think so.

I just looked at the paintings of MF Hussain and I must say, if he calls it freedom then I would simply just kick his a**. I mean, what is so called freedom in showing our goddess without the clothes doing the things what we have never imagined?  What kind of art is that?

I think the government should just arrest these kind of artists immediately so that can understand the real meaning of the freedom. And yea, government should also arrest those moral police guys who prefer taking law in their hand.  Infact these moral police guys should be arrested first because taking law in their own hand is much bigger offence than these stupid paintings.

At the time of paying telephone bills when we hear  “pay though Internet option”, we get a sigh of relief thinking we wont have to stand in long queues and stuff. BUT for people working at MTNL, this word “Internet” is more than a nightmare.

I generally pay my office phone bills through MTNL’s website and last month for some reason I could not pay the bill on time. So this month, I cleared bills of 2 months together so that I do not forget the due dates.

I paid the bills on 10th of this month and today suddenly in the evening, my phone stopped working and all I got was a voice message saying “Contact your local account officer”. I called up local exchange guys to find out what’s up with this issue.

I have recorded the whole conversation, just click on play button below to listen to it or just click on download to save the file on your local machine.

Download (773 KB) - File has been edited to keep things bit of private haha (the phone number)

Sounds funny right? Yea it is, they runaway from the word Internet and give many silly excuses. If you have listened to the whole clip, in the end, the lady asked me to fax some letter. But my phone line started within 5 minutes after keeping the phone.

So does this mean, they are just bunch of careless people who does not want to look at details of the customers who have paid through Internet? Or they just do not have enough information with them?

Whatever it is, IT SUCKS for sure.

P.S. The title of the post means “Have Paid the bill through Internet” The lady says this in Marathi to other staff member.

Till yesterday I was all praising this cool Japanese innovation but now, if you ask me, I would just say my crappy Chinese stand which never worked properly. I had purchased this laptop stand a month back from a shop called Thanko RareMono Shop, a Japanese company which is into all kinda cool and crazy stuff.

The stand arrived within a week after placing the order, it looked pretty cool when I opened, within 2-3 minutes I figured out how to get it working (locks and all), the first thing which caught my eyes was, the label “Made in China”. This changed my expression a bit, I was like “ouch, Chinese; God save me!!” Well, god did not save me this time. The lock on the right hand side’s handle was not working and I could not keep the laptop on it properly.

I emailed their support guys with the video showing the bad lock. They sent me the new stand within a week.

New one had locks working properly, I even enjoyed using it for few hours, I even enjoyed showing off the “working” stand to my sister and Megha haha. BUT god again did not save me. One of the locks screwed up again. The condition is not as worse as the earlier one but still it is not fully functional. I am not planning to ask them to send me one more stand as I know the new one (if they send it) is going to be bad again.

So the moral of the story is? Never buy Chinese stuff, no matter how cool it looks. It is gonna be crappy mostly. (You will be lucky if it works well)

I have already wasted my 91$ for this crappy Chinese stand and I do not want you to waste money on it.

Edit: Btw if you wanna take a look at it, here you go: (it works only in this position lol)

I generally do not post about Gujarati dramas I watch. It is just that till now none of them have made me sit and post about it. This one was kind of different, I won’t say it was 5/5 kind of stuff but it left a very good message in the end.

The drama is about how a doctor cures a patient with mental disorder, gets married to her and how our society makes that person mentally ill again. It tried to show  how society is mainly responsible for this, we generally call the person pagal or mad but we do not ever try to see other side of the coin and that is where we lack and make things worse. The person with mental disorder needs a human touch, feelings rather than keeping her in a locked room and on medication all the time.

The story is based on true life incident which had happened in Gujarat few years back. The drama is pretty old, infact it ran packed houses for 15 years and they discontinued it because it was affecting the lives of the actors. Playing role of mentally challenged person is not that easy I guess. Sujata Mehta in the role of Ratna (Mentally challenged person) was just too impressive. Hats off!!

But now the same drama is back again. I watched it at Birla Matoshree, I think next Sunday it is going to be at Bhavans

It is a must watch for Gujju people.
