I have a very bad luck in buying things from abroad.. firstly, I bought Xbox 360 from US… it got screwed up and eventually I had to sell it off for USD 150 on ebay. Then I bought laptop stand for USD 91, the first one was not functioning properly so they sent me replacement but it was also not working properly, so finally sold both the stands for Rs. 200 to kabadiwala.

Now, it is time again for the bad luck to knock my doors.. haha.. I recently asked my friend (who is currently in US) to get an iphone for me. He bought it today and I just found out that it has version 1.1.2 pre-installed, which cannot be unlocked. (At this moment no unlocking solution is available for 1.1.2 version phones)

So, now, I have asked my friend to return it if possible and if not, one more paperweight in the list..

I just hate to call the bank and followup on those stupid double charges. Earlier, it was with a petrol pump near my house, the guy swiped by card twice and I was charged 1000 bucks instead of Rs. 500.

And now, yesterday, a shop in Vadodara, (btw, I will be in Gujarat and Kutch till 8th of Dec) the guy did not get success in the first time, I told him that charging 2nd time would deduct the amount again from my account but he confirmed that it won’t happen again… but to my bad luck, it did happen again.. bloody Rs. 3170 charged twice in my account…

Now again same old procedure, call up bank, send them the copy of the slip, they will take 45 days to fix this issue up. It sucks.. why can’t these guys make process faster..

21st century and 45 days..

I am kind of away from movie scene for past few weeks. (Due to heavy work load) But today I came across an article on rediff about the latest Madhuri Dixit Movie, Aaaja Nachle.

To cut the story short, Mayawati bans Aaja Nachle in UP. Why? Well, according to her, a line in one of the songs might hurt sentiments of Dalits (Backward cast people).

Now the 1st question will popup in your mind will be, What the hell is that line?

I am still trying to figure out how this line will hurt sentiments of Dalits? And why such a harsh ban on the movie? Lack of courts in UP?
