WOW!! sounds stupid right? Hell, yeah.. it is stupid. But not for Mumbai traffic police. They decided to put ban on playing music in the car.. WHY? Well, for the safety of the drivers and to avoid accidents.
According to them, there are high chances of getting distracted if you are listening to the music in the car. No, I am not talking about loud music, this stupid rule applies to soft music too..
Still don’t believe me? Check it yourself on Mid-Day site here. Quoting part of the article here:
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic, Suburban) S M Sabde said, "Talking on the mobile phone while driving distracts the driver. As does listening to music." He added that those guilty of playing music in a car will be fined Rs 500 under Section 190 (2) of the Motor Vehicles Act, which deals with violation of standards of road safety, control of noise and air pollution.
Why did the cops suddenly decide to crack down on music? "The law always existed. All we are doing is follow it seriously, to prevent losing innocent lives. I have already instructed traffic policemen in my jurisdiction (Mahim to Dahisar) to be extra cautious about such violators. We will come down heavily on them in the coming days," Sabde reiterated.
And it’s not just loud music that will call for a fine. "The driver will be charged a fine, if he is found playing music – loud or soft." Sabde said. "Music is a hindrance to safe driving. The driver cannot hear the horns. Paying attention to music could lead to accidents," he concluded.
So, stop playing music in the car.. and start obeying to this STUPID rule.
The scene in our country is, if couple of top guys feel, something wrong according to them, they make a rule for it..
It’s really bad situation currently in the country, it is ruled by these illiterate idiots . We really need to wake up and do something.
Just returned from the movie. Was expecting some really good (after seeing the promotions of Rs. 5 lakh prize money for the person watching it alone). Thought there will be something really hardcore content which will not make people laugh but I guess.. Ramu’s 5 lakh is pretty easy win.. haha
Okay, the story time.. (Taken from the official site)
Rajeev, a successful Construction Engineer with loving wife, and two children aged 10 and 8, is an atheist to the core. He scoffs at God and even more at people who believed in the dark forces till one day when an evil was let loose in his happy home threatning to destroy his family and shake up the very foundations of his convictions and belief systems.
The movie started with some funny camera angles and annoying music and that kept repeating in the whole first half. Unnecessary sound effects and close up shoots of weird table pieces. (I still could not understand they had kept the cordless phone on the table piece instead of on the charging base LOL) What I am trying to say is, focusing on monkey shaped table pieces simply does not help to create that “fear” in the mind of people. In the first half, everyone was laughing on those so called horror scenes. There were also few scenes added unnecessarily. (e.g. the one where their maid sees grandmother sitting in the hall – basically the scene right after that)
But 2nd half was really impressive, everything perfect. (Leaving few things aside) The people were actually quiet, the scenes were so powerful that no one dared to utter a single word. (Yea few of them did actually but you know some people have fun in that) The little kid Ahsaas Channa was pretty impressive. She was really brilliant in the 2nd half.
I really wish first half was as good as 2nd one. It looked like 1st half was directed by some sub standard director and 2nd half was handled by RGV himself.
Anyways, that’s a different story altogether.
So to sum it up, the movie was not so bad not so good, but it could have been made really well if they had taken care of the first half. I mean, if you can’t add fear in the mind of people then atleast don’t make them laugh, it’s supposed to be a horror movie.
On the acting front, I liked everyone.. yea.. Ashwini Kalsekar was really really really irritating in the first half. (Her laughter was more like someone screaming loudly in your ears and trying to kill you with that.. )
Direction, as I mentioned earlier.. in the first half it was really bad.. closeups doesn’t work always. Music was surprisingly good, though the songs were nothing like you will remember but they were going well with the movie.
So overall, I would rate this movie Rating:

. Watch it at your own risk.
HAHA another iPhone bashing post? LOL.. No, this is gonna simply outline features which will be useful for the normal users and will outline why you should buy iPhone and why you should not buy iPhone.. so, in short.. I am leaving you guys to decide what to do..
So, let’s cut the crap and start off with the stuff..
Why you should not buy an iPhone?
- Way way too costly.. Rs. 31,000 is what official price from Vodafone..Read the info on their page here. So this makes more than 3 times of the original price.. (USD 199)
- No 3G – atleast for now.. I have heard that it’s gonna be out on Vodafone in December and all but nothing confirmed. And even after it is out, I am pretty much sure that, their data plan are gonna suck.. plans will be way too costly.
- No copy paste – Yes, till now no official support for copy / paste. I personally use copy / paste thing a lot on my SE W810i, useful in many things.
- No Bluetooth file transfer – Yups, you cannot transfer files via Bluetooth.
- You cannot use it as Modem.. Yea.. Yea.. I know you can install some Apps and get it working but I am not sure whether it will break the warranty or not. And no normal user is gonna go through that pain of doing all those things.
I guess, these are the MAJOR disadvantages that a normal user. I know there are things like MMS and all but I guess… not many people care about it.
So, why you should buy an iPhone?
- It’s SEXY.. no one can beat the looks of iPhone.. I mean come on guys… HTC Touch Diamond too can’t beat that sleek look.
- Fast and less buggy compared to other phones in the market. (Compare with touch screen phones only) Currently, there is HTC Touch Diamond in the market.. but I have not heard so good reviews about it.
- Usability – No one can simply beat it.. try the browsing…. try composing any message.. you will forget using anything else. The picture zoom and web page is superb.
- Apps – I am 100% sure that no one can beat this App Store thing. (Which Apple introduced with version 2 of their software.) So many innovative apps, so many games.. I have never seen this kind of thing with any phone. There is a sexy iLightr, FlashLight and many other things. It’s simply fantastic.
I think that’s it.. I am not gonna make this post more lengthier with more pros and cons but covering the important one does the job.
So, in short.. if you do not have any problems with the hefty cost of the phone, then just go for it.. you are surely not gonna regret this beauty. Or simply you can wait for sometime, the rates should reduce soon.

Okay, so the season 2 of Big Boss starts today.. this time it’s not on Sony but it’s on newly started channel called Colors (Network 18 – CNN-IBN guys)
So, without wasting time.. let me give you idea about the contestants..
1. Ketki Dave – Theatre actress who became popular with her role in Kyonki Saas Kabhi Bahu Thi.
2. Zulfi Sayed – He was there in some movies and music videos. Pretty bad at everything though.

4. Raja Chaudhari – Never heard about the guy? Well, he was husband of Shweta Tiwari (Kasauti Zindagi Ki) He became popular after his breakup with her.
5. Rakhi Tandon – Known for her role in Hum Paanch. But disappeared after that.
6. Rahul Mahajan – Son of very well known politician Promod Mahajan. But again, did nothing nothing great the personal front.
7. Sambhavna Seth – I seriously don’t know her. But Google search on her name showed me some revealing pictures.
8. Ehsaan Ahsaan Qureshi – Standup comedian who also acted in flop movie, Bombay to Goa or something. He was participant in Indian Laughter Challenge 1.
9. Aleena Wadia Elina Vadia Alina Wadiwala – Sorry guys, don’t know about her at all. I am not sure if I have spelt the name correctly or not. But she looks GOOD. 21 year old girl. (Thanks Ruby for the correct info)

12. Ashutosh – MTV Roadies 5 winner. It should be fun watching this guy. He was great in Rodies.

14. Jade Goody – WOW, this one was a real surprise She was in Big Brother with Shilpa Shetty and came in light for her racial comments against Shilpa Shetty. It’s gonna be fun watching her.. interesting..
So , that’s it guys.. 14 guys..
So, overall, most of the participants are flopped guys or they do not have much work in their hand (are less known). (Like season 1). But this time I think contestants are less bitchy ones. So far, Rahul Mahajan looked more desperate to meet girls, Ketki Dave was speaking more in her so called English “accent”.
Let’s hope that the show works..
The show is aired on Colors at 8 10 PM daily. (Will confirm the timings soon)
Yes, it is my India’s birthday today.. no matter how much I hate the things in India but I am still proud of my country..
