I had mentioned this in many of my earlier posts and mentioning the same again this time too.. I am just fedup the way things are turning up. Political parties are screwing the common man from left and right.. the ruling government and police are doing nothing.. all we can hear is.. some head guy saying “No one can take law in their hand, we will take strict action against them” But nothing happens, these parties are already taking law in their hand but the police is like mute spectator.
A common man is suffering in this…. there is no security from these political goons.. what is tomorrow one of these guys think of implementing a funny rule and forcing people? What will happen? NOTHING..
But who is responsible for this? Apart from the police and ruling party.. Media played a bigger role in this.. they love to create issues from small things.
Day before yesterday, I was watching some Hindi news channel, it was showing Drona’s music release where Jaya Bachchan jokingly said (Video) that she will speak in Hindi as she is from UP.. Now, these channels were flashing the same thing 100 times and making it a big issue.. they showed things like “Ab kya hoga Raj Thackeray ka jawaab” (What will be reaction of MNS chief Raj Thackeray)
And the very next day, MNS chief puts a large hoarding on Bandra linking road showing ticket to Allahbad printed on it.. it said.. “The Marathi are never going to forgive you, and Shivaji Maharaja’s Maharashta is not going to forgive you either” (Read more about it here)
And, then he decides to call a press conference and warn people about Jaya Bachchan’s statement. He uses harsh words like “The Guddi actress (She had acted in that movie) has become old but still she hasn’t matured enough” (It was very harsh in Marathi.)
And the guy, without any fear “announces” BAN on Bachchan family movies.. also warns theatre owners about it… “Let us see who shows these films..” and he even makes fun of the gag order police issued against holding press conferences and public meetings.. “It seems that the government has extra stationary — they keep on issuing me notices. Let them issue notices, I will keep on expressing my views whenever I feel like” (Read More)
Now, these guys demand public apology for what she said.. I am 100% sure that a common man is not even bothered about it.. they are smart enough to differentiate between joke and serious statements..
So, Jaya Bachchan finally apologizes for no reason.. haha but now MNS says.. this kind of apology is not enough…. (This was being aired on news channels)

I don’t understand why these guys are fighting so much over Maharashtra or Maharashtrian language? Are they themselves Marathi? NO..
Their children are studying in ENGLISH medium school Bombay Scottish, their grand son is making HINDI music album.. they have their sites in ENGLISH (or partially in English), so on what basis they are saying that they are Maharashtrians?
They want people to speak in Marathi, they want Bombay names to be changed to Mumbai but they do not want to admin their children in Marathi school, they do not want their Children to cut a Marathi album..
Why they understand that Religion should be kept at home.. I am Gujarati, you might belong to some other cast but when we are on the street, we are INDIANS not Maharashtrian or Gujarati or any other cast..
Doing cheap things like this is not going to lead us anywhere, it will divide Maharashtra..

I had been in Mumbai and stayed in Bhandup (if Bhandup is considered in Mumbai)during 1998-99 and again during 2005 for a short trip and also used go to Pune quite often. I can read Marathi because I can read Hindi while my mother tongue is neither of them.
To me Mumbai is a great colourful city full of life. The best multicultural city of India. Superb local train service. The chaupatis and bhelpuris are unique, open culture unlike many other cities.
I came back from VT one day at 1.30am without any problem.
My sincere appeal to all please do not spoil this beautiful city citing antinational and anti constitutional reasons. Be better more tolerent human beings. Believe in Gandhian principle.

This cannot be tolerated by any level headed citizen of India. Vandalism is the right word to be used. Even this gentleman threatened the Mumbai Police Commisioner BL Prasad of dire consequenses. WHat these people think of themselves? Please do not support these cause simply because you speak the same language.

Also, if some other state is doing something wrong, then it does not mean that we should follow it.. Mumbai is financial capital so people come here, invest here.. there is freedom compared to other states here.. it’s a free environment.. good to start business..
If there is rule to put the board in Marathi.. then EVERYONE SHOULD FOLLOW IT.. and if the people do not follow, fine them.. as simple as that.. keep the fine amount as say.. 10,000 per day.. people will start following coz there is strict rule.. but when we force people by sending the notices.. things won’t work..

About the Police commissioner issue. Again this is at the backdrop of all these ‘EFFECTS’ which Deep has mentioned in his posts. He has not come out and told just like that.
And threatening a police commissioner just because I have half mad brain washed supporters and people with me does not make me a hero, actually these people are cowards.
Sometime back I used to like Bal Thak when he used to boldly speak about the issues of Bangladeshis and pro pakistanis in our country. But not any more I think the ‘big-bang’ is nearing for him and his party and ancilliaries. It will be good for the state and the country to get rid of these cancerous elements.
I am not sure if your point about Gandhijis lack of english knowledge is a fact. My little knowledge does not say so.

One thing from my side is that India is a country of cultures and every culture is so beautiful that we cannot show disrespect to it and just answer to this question, if in UP or Bihar, almost 70% of the govt.institutions or other government sites are filled up with non-Hindi speaking people like Southern Areas, will people be able to adjust with that conditions. No!!!!! there will always be a reaction.Reason being ,
in a particular state like Maharasthra, the people wants their culture to continue like the way it exist and started. This is not a revolution but a reaction to understand that for a person living in their individual state has the right to know and work for their cultural growth. Can anyone of you expect that in Bengal , Tamilnadu or any other state, their main language should be Hindi. It is their own mother language. Hindi is our national language and we will always respect it because after being a UP who speaks Avadhi, Bihar who speaks Maithili or Maharashtra who speaks Marathi , we all are same HINDUSTANI…..
I am not supporting any community, but our country’s integrity. So, we must pay respect to all cultures in India and must understand their pain as well. If the people living in Maharashtra wants that they want to follow all the things as per their culture , they are not different from other regional states who are trying to save their regional values and representing the uniqueness of their culture which atlast contributes to our own INDIA.

As I told earlier many of you calling your self as “marathis” as actually shame for marathis. True marathis will not be like this for sure and have a different pedigree. There had been several comments from many other true marathis that they do not support this way of violence and the way things are happening.

Somebody commented about Bengal saying hindi etc. again I call these people with little knowledge. Know your facts. Bengal is the worst affected of all the states there had been crores of people coming to Bengal from Bangladesh and lakhs and lakhs from Bihar, west UP and Marwaris. The economy and business of Bengal is in the hands of Marwaris.
Have you ever heard religious issues or any such ‘outsiders’ issue there ? The situation there is much worse than what many of you are complaining like local trains etc. No not so far, but who knows this flu will not catch up there also.

Have you ever gone in villages of maharashtra….farmers over here are using advance agriculture method to bring up more “aanaj” from the field, and this is significant developmental sign…maximum of the farmers are having TV, many are using freege and other electronic equipment bringing money in the market and improving the economy of india….in the end they are improving their standard of living, contributing in state’s and india’s economy.
Just rome around any major cities in maharashtra like pune, nasik, aurangabad, nagpur, kalhapur, etc….at every 50 to 100 km, you will see industry…means people over here from backstream as well as forward stream are giving significant contribution in development of maharasthra state….now don’t point of vidarbha as there is exception and we are also not ignoring it

Let me just put my point across with respect to this issue….
Who is a migrant?
A migrant is person who has moved away from his place of birth / origin (a) force or (b) on his own will for the betterment of his individual being / family & safety.
(a) Forceful migration – I don’t think any one of us have seen or experienced it in our generation as I understand most of us being a generation or a couple of generations post the , worlds largest human movement ie. the partition of the country in 1947 / the impact was felt by the whole country but the people affected most were the people of Punjab and Bengal who lost everything including loved ones and hence a lot goes to them with due respects / stories from them would still make anyone wonder what a prize we had paid for our freedom .However I don’t think we are talking about migration of the forceful / political kind. And all of us here as true nationalists and will never want any part of his/ her country to be at misery by breaking it further.
(b) The second kind of migration which is by choice / however in most cases in our country is factored by force … by force I mean no external force but the force within that pushes a poor man in Bihar /UP / Orissa / TN or any other state to move to a favorable location where he sees opportunity to earn a living for himself and his family.
In most cases people do not want to move from their place of origin if opportunities are available , however as seen within the poorer strata their level of resistance to move is far higher due to their vulnerability in society and hence they only migrate when they are absolutely pushed to the last level of basic sustainance , which is not so within the richer of middle classes where migration is spearheaded by capitalism .
If we look deep with in we will find that most of the city dwellers in large cities like Mumbai / Delhi / Kolkata & Bangalore were migrants to the same city generation before be it even moving from a remote village in Maharashtra to the the city of dreams “ Mumbai “ and so is the story of any large city .
As mentioned in my earlier post that most great cities have been made by migrants to name few New York, London , Hongkong / its said that if u spend 10 – 15 mins at Times Square just standing at one point , you will witness every nationality , religion and race within that span of time .. hence talks leaps about any city .
Hence its unfortunate to see some of the posts here where in a lot of mature individuals have mentioned how things have changed over the years and how dirty people from some part of the country crowd up the local trains …. I guess with these thought we all walking towards a better nation and a city for of the future. India is a free country , here anyone has the right to live / earn & speak the language he wants … but yes freedom should not be misused to hurt the sentiments of others and the law of the land .
Even in China where the living situations somewhere match ours we have seen migration of huge proportions from the western provinces to cities like Beijing & Shanghi where they are mostly employed in construction projects the fuel China’s thirst towards a global power . They have nothing in common with the people of the east even languages differ but China wants to move ahead they have worked on their differences as one nation .
Are these people who leave everything behind somewhere in remote village in our country and come to an alien city to fill their stomachs and aspirations not Indians … are they to be blamed for the sorry state of their region? Are we all not responsible towards their betterment as a responsible citizens of this nation or are we all fulfilling our duties by just paying our taxes and leaving the rest to the system to take over.
Do we not exploit them when ever we have our own selfish needs? Be to drivers / constructors / laborers / domestic helps / watchmen sweepers etc. Do they fall under the minimum wages act / or any human resources act … no we would like to pay them less and get more.
The progress of this nation would be marked when all of us would move ahead together as a whole and not as individuals / regions / states / sects / religion or creed.
I know I am here among a very matured audience who would identify with me on this issue and would work towards influencing the right thoughts among each other
