About Deep Ganatra

Born on 13th Oct 1981, in a small town called Anjar in Kutch, Gujarat and brought up in Mumbai

Studied in school SMPR (Gujarati as Major Language) in Mulund and after school I joined K.J. Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce, did Bachelor of Commerce (Bcom) from there and then did Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology (PGDIT) from Mumbai University

I used to design sites in my college days…but now if you ask me, I want to Design a site…my answer will be Web Designing? What’s that ? What does that mean… lol

What after that?

Well, I joined a company in Mumbai as PHP Trainee but instead of doing PHP stuff, I was introduced to a new term called Search Engine Optimization (SEO). My job was to get our company site high ranking in search engines…since I was in impression that getting site listed on top is just about adding Meta Tags and Title in the page. Once you are done with it, you get listed in top 10..lol..

But the reality was something else…checked few sites, read articles about SEO and started things slowly slowly…

And the result? haha…Managed to get our company site in top for Many highly competitive keywords…

So my job Desigation changed from PHP Trainee to SEO..haha

that’s it? Nah…

In PGDIT we had Networking as a subject…and to be frank I was not much interested in it, I wanted to get into Web Development but in my company I did some Networking also…

So my official designation became Network Administrator and Search Engine Optimization Consultant.

Now, Since PHP was my first love so i thought may be I should continue with it, so apart from doing PHP stuff for my personal work I did (in fact doing) some PHP work for our company also…

So now my designation…Officially it is “Network Administrator and Search Engine Optimization Consultant” only but unofficially I do lot more things…

I have left the company I was working for, Now I am running my own company which deals with Web Designing, Web Development, Hosting and SEO

Nothing else left I suppose…
