I really don’t understand what these police guys are upto.. one way, they claim that they are here to help people but when it comes to helping people.. they indeed add more trouble into it..

Yes, I know they do help people in cases like theft and all but what about minor issues? Instead of solving them, they try to cut short and find the temporary solution…

Examples would be.. e.g. when you are sitting with your girlfriend or anyone in a area which is not so busy.. and it’s night time..

The police guy walks in, check your license and asks you to leave from that area as it’s not “safe”…

I don’t understand, if it’s not safe then why they can’t increase the security… instead nabbing the miscreants, they prefer asking common men to leave the place, so that miscreants don’t trouble common people and a common man doesn’t go to police station to lodge FIR..

This is the solution that they have… (Yea, I had faced this problem couple of years back near Lokhandwala, I am sure many of you must have faced this too)

RTOs (Traffic Police) too are equally responsible in this.. most of them look get “extra” money most of the time..

A year back or so, my sister had parked the car in no parking, they took the car and when we went to collect the car, they started asking for Rs. 1,000 fine.. we actually fought with them as there was no such rule where they can fine us for Rs. 1,000 (rules related to PUC or Car Parking), we made them read their rulebook and had to make them realize that they can’t fool people.. in the end, they charged us what they were supposed to (legally) – around Rs. 400.

2nd incident was today.. infact, an hour back..

The RTO guy stops my car, tell me that I have to take off my car’s film (on the glasses), the reason? There are many illegal activities going on in the cars with the dark glasses.. I was like WTF.. dude, does it mean, people with cars with transparent glasses won’t get into illegal activities?

They just don’t understand the basics.. they don’t understand that, they have to work harder on catching those 1% of people who are into illegal activities.. not trouble 99% of the people who are not doing anything wrong..

I guess, I will never understand their logic being rules and regulations..

I am sorry but I am really angry at this point so my words might not be right but that’s the fact and we can’t deny it..

Just heard about bush blaming India for food price hike in United States / Globally.. I am really not sure about knowledge of Mr. Bush. According to Bush, the prices hiked because middle class people in India are getting paid more so they are demanding higher quality or nutritious food. So there is more demand and there is less supply.

I understood the logic of higher demand and lower supply but what does it have to do with India? If people here are earning more and paying for higher quality for good then how does it matter to him?

Is he plain jealous about growth of India or he did not have anything better prepared for his speech?

Following were his statements:

Prosperity in countries like India is good but it triggers increased demand for better Nutrition, which in turn leads to higher food prices.

Worldwide, there is increasing demand. There turns out to be prosperity in developing world, which is good. It’s going to be good for you because you’ll be selling products in the countries, you know, big countries perhaps, and it’s hard to sell products into countries that aren’t prosperous. In other words, the more prosperous the world is, the more opportunity there is.

It also, however, increases demand. So, for example, just as an interesting thought for you, there are 350 million people in India who are classified as middle class. That’s bigger than America. Their middle class is larger than our entire population.

And when you start getting wealth, you start demanding better nutrition and better food, and so demand is high, and that causes the price to go up.

Read more about it on Rediff.com also read reaction of our politicians here

It seems that these days media guys have plenty of free time. Be it news channels like Aaj Tak, Zee News or any others. (Keeping NDTV and CNN IBN aside) or be it tabloids like Mid Day. Everyone is running behind showing personal matter of the celebrities or known people.

Zee News is busy showing how much Aishwarya Rai gave to her parents and how much she spent for her marriage expenses. Mid Day is also carrying the same story. I am yet to understand how does it affect the lives of local public. What do I do if Aishwarya Rai spends 8 crores for her marriage or buys from some xx store. It is her personal matter, why should media bother about it? She is paying her tax and it is her money, she can spend however she wants and I do not think any news channel has right to show anyone’s personal matter. (unless they have permission from the person)

2nd example is again from Mid Day. Few days back Mid Day carried a story about how orkut helped to nab the navy man (who killed his girlfriend) since after that it seems Mid Day correspondents changed their work profile from news correspondents to Orkut Diggers. They started checking the scrapbook of the same navy guy and carried out one more story on him.

But this was not enough so they decided to test their orkut skills and digged out profile of Shivsena executive president Uddhav Thackeray’s son Aditya. They managed to write a silly article on profile of Aditya. They gave it their bad try to interpret each and every line of his profile. (They have few more articles by Orkut Diggers)

Earlier rediff had also done the same mistake by posting an article based on scraps of Virginia Tech shootout victim Minal Panchal but It was taken off on the same day.

The point here is, Why these media guys have to dig personal lives of people. Do they think it makes everyone say “WOW, this is cool!!” if they do, then they are totally wrong. I simply call it ”Sick!!”.

First we had seen an array of stations getting renamed (Railway stations and Airports) to Chatrapati Shivaji. Now, it is Jagannath Seth’s turn. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) wants to rename Grant Road to Jagannath Seth Station. Some excerpts from the article:

THE ruling party in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Shiv Sena, stonewalled its own proposal to rename Mumbai Central railway station to Jagannath Shankar Seth Railway Station. Their logic not a single railway station in the city has the word Mumbai attached to it. Now, the Sena wants to rename Grant Road Station after Seth.

It took about a month-and-a-half for the Sena to realise that no other railway station has the word Mumbai. Dalvi told MiD DAY, “There was a proposal of renaming Mumbai Central but the same name has the identity of the city. So we dropped it after a discussion with (Shiv Sena executive president) Uddhav Thackeray.”

Dalvi further said, “Now we are contemplating a proposal to rename Grant Road Railway Station as Jagannath Shankar Seth Railway Station.”

I still do not understand, why there is any need to rename stations? Instead of wasting time in these kind of stupid things, why not find solutions for current problems?

Yes, Yes, Yes, they suck BIG TIME.

Here is the scene, A client sent me DD through registered post, office was closed to it remained undelivered and postman gave us a receipt which said collect it from post office between 9.30 – 10.30 AM.

I visit the post office, show them the receipt, they ask me if I have brought my company stamp and my ID card as proof. I show them both and the very next minute the person says “Nahi mil sakta hai abhi” (You can’t get it now) I ask them the reason, I get reply saying post office department does not know if my company exists or not. I was like, what the hell? It is just a registered post not any property paper where you have to check the stuff.

They ask me to send them some letter stating that my company exists and details about company with the address. I will also have to mention in the letter, the name of the person who will come to collect the registered post on behalf of the company. Once I send them the letter, they will send their person to our office to check if my company really exists or not. And this process may take 15 days. It depends upon the person who is going to visit my office. They do not give any timeline.

So after all these things I may get the registered post.

It just pisses me off when they come up with these illogical solutions. I mean why the hell I cannot collect the post if I show them the proof? My company stamp, my ID card? Why in the world I have to send the letter and wait for their person to check if my company exists or not.

It is just so silly and stupid on their part to do things like this.

God only knows when they will improve and have some logical rules.

Was nice speaking to you …Actually the concept is that all these designs that we are making are not sales BUT we will try and sell to clients after the new mockups (Layouts) are made and ready to show them . So there will be 100s of designs we will have to make everyday and hope 1% – 2% get converted . So I will be paying you upfront after my designer approves the design to keep a check on quality . So even if the design does not sell you get paid anyway and later if the design sells we will make the other pages in-house and complete the job .

Each designer will be able to make around 6-7 designs on a daily basis . We will give him the present URL and he will basically have to make a nice design accordingly so the client likes it and buys . He can take design ideas from other similar sites so that he can dish out designs real fast .. Hope you get the concept .. A good designer can even make 10 a day. We will be paying Rs. 150 for a single page design layout NO html needed. Just wanted to know if you can match this quality of mockups or even make better . These are just the examples what we are looking out for ….
