These days I have been listening to old songs most of the time.. I don’t know, I find those oldies very pure, very true and very meaningful lyrics…
So, here is one of my favorite song from one of my favorite movies.. Golmaal, starring Amol Palekar..
Aanewala Pal Jaanewala Hai
Ho Sake To Iss Mein Zindagi Bitaado Pal Jo Yeh
Jaanewala Hai Ho Ho
Aanewala Pal Jaanewala Hai
Ho Sake To Iss Mein Zindagi Bitaado Pal Jo Yeh
Jaanewala Hai
Ek Baar Yoon Mili Maasoom Si Kali
Ho Khilte Hue Kahaan Pushpaash Mein Chali
Dekha To Yahin Hai Dhundha To Nahin Hai Pal Jo Yeh
Jaanewala Hai Ho Ho
Aanewala Pal Jaanewala Hai
Ho Sake To Iss Mein Zindagi Bitaado Pal Jo Yeh
Jaanewala Hai
Ek Baar Waqt Se Lamha Gira Kahin
Wahaan Dastan Mili Lamha Kahin Nahin
Thoda Sa Hasaake Thoda Sa Rulaake Pal Ye Bhi Jaanewala
Hai Ho Ho
Aanewala Pal Jaanewala Hai
Ho Sake To Iss Mein Zindagi Bitaado Pal Jo Yeh
Jaanewala Hai Ho Ho
Aanewala Pal Jaanewala Hai
You can watch the song on YouTube
Amazing song..
Kisiki muskuraahaton pe ho nisaar
Kisika dard mil sake to le udhaar
Kisike waaste ho tere dil mein pyaar
Jeena issi ka naam hai
Maana apni jeb se fakeer hain
Phir bhi yaaron dil ke ham ameer hain
Mitte jo pyaar ke liye woh zindagi
Jale bahaar ke liye woh zindagi
Kisi ko ho na ho hamein to aitbaar
Jeena issi kaa naam hai
Rishta dil se dil ke aitbaar ka
Zinda hai hameen se naam pyaar ka
Ke mar ke bhi kisi ko yaad aayenge
Kisi ke aansuon mein muskuraayenge
Kahega phool har kali se baar baar
Jeena issi kaa naam hai
Kisiki muskuraahaton pe ho nisaar..
One of my favorite songs.. was listening to it, thought of posting the lyrics here.. love the song..
You can watch it here on YouTube
I just want to see you
When you’re all alone
I just want to catch you if I can
I just want to be there
When the morning light explodes
On your face it radiates
I can’t escape
I love you ’till the end
I just want to tell you nothing
You don’t want to hear
All I want is for you to say
Why don’t you just take me
Where I’ve never been before
I know you want to hear me
Catch my breath
I love you ’till the end
I just want to be there
When we’re caught in the rain
I just want to see you laugh not cry
I just want to feel you
When the night puts on its cloak
I’m lost for words don’t tell me
All I can say
I love you ’till the end
The Pogues – Love You till The End
Just like Hum Dil De Chuke’s music release, I was waiting very eagerly for this one too. Finally, it released last week, I made a point to grab the audio cd and since then, I have been listening to it, almost whole day.. haha. You must have got the idea about the review from above line. Yes, I loved it..
I don’t know whether I should praise the music director Monty Sharma or the real music director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali..
I know, I know, Sanjay is the director but I consider him as the real music director. Why? Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam – Music by Ismail Darbar – Super Hit Music, Devdas – again, Music by Ismail Darbar – Music was hit too. Tera Jadoo Chal Gayaa – Music by Ismail Darbar – worst music, flop.
The point is, Sanjay Leela Bhansali made him work the way he wanted and got the good music out of him. Same way it could have happen with Monty Sharma too but by this I don’t mean to say that these music directors are bad. But what I am trying to say is, Sanjay’s knows what exactly he wants and how he can take it out from the music directors or actors or be anyone associated with his film.
Okay, enough of praising. Let’s get back on the track.

- Saawariya Reprise – Shail Hada
First song, Saawariya by Shail Hada – excellent song, superb lyrics and specially sung very well. I was afraid that the singer might take the song on very high pitch but it was pretty much balanced.
Jab Se Tere Naina by Shaan.. this one is perfect for romantic song, specially if you want to impress you girlfriend. (It worked with mine) haha. It’s so melodious, you feel like singing out loud.. Jab se tera naina… mere naino se lage re… tab se diwana hua, sabse begana hua.. rab bhi diwana lage re… I should stop now i guess.. haha
I think, I should just sum up the stuff rather than posting my detailed views on each songs.
Masha Allah, though it was sung by Kunal Ganjawala and Shreya Ghosal, the whole credit goes to Kunal (Shreya has nothing much to sing in this one). Thode Badmash, superbly sung by Shreya. Yoon Shabnami was sung pretty well by Parthiv Gohil.
Daras Bina Nahin Chain, Richa Sharma is just amazing here, just superb. This can’t be called as full fledged song but it looks to be used in credits or somewhere in between some sequences. Sawar Gayi by Shreya is another exceptional song in this album. Jaan-e-Jaan sung well by Kunal and Shreya. But if we compare with other songs, it might be that good but yes, I liked it.
Pari, one more by Kunal.. no need to praise him again for his singing abilities. Nice song. Chhabeela by Alka Yagnik, reminds me of songs of era of late 90s with some better music. Good song but nothing great though. Looks like, it might be some introduction song for one of the actresses. (Rani or Sonam)
The last one, Saawariya Reprise is kind of unplugged (or live) version of the song Saawariya. I personally felt Shail went bit over the board in the beginning but things got balanced once the actual song started.
So, overall, I would rate this album Rating:

The songs might not appeal the masses in the beginning but it is like, more we listen.. more we like. I don’t know about others but I have felt in love with this masterpiece and that is what made me write music review after a long time.
Go go if you haven’t watched it.. awesome movie.. liked it very much.
