People should start thinking broader, think beyond “me and myself”. I really do not understand why people have narrow thinking, why they can’t think beyond “myself”, think selflessly.

The day when we all start thinking selflessly, it will be the world’s happiest day. Helping out people without expecting anything gives the happiness which nothing else can give. But people fail to understand that.

On the narrow thinking, let me quote something which I had mentioned in Orkut’s Lohana (My cast) Community. This is about visiting temples but focuses more on the topic which I am trying to explain through this post.

My personal views are bit different on the temple thing. I think, it does not matter if you go to the temple or not, what matters is the faith and the way you live. We just need to get out of the “me and myself” shell, need to think lot more beyond that, think about how we can make the world a better place, think broad rather than limiting our thinking to something really narrow.

If you are not able to think selflessly then going to temple is not going to help at all. I personally never visit any temple coz I do not believe in visiting temples, for me, god is inner me who is always with me in my bad times, in my good times, it teaches me how to learn from mistakes, it punishes me if I am doing anything wrong, it praises me if I am doing something good..

I have seen people strongly believing in god, visiting temples everyday, every Thursday; but after stepping down from the temple, they are no humans. I have seen many visiting beer bars, many behaving badly with people.. I have no idea what’s in their mind.. i don’t know if they are in impression that going to temples will make them look good in front of the god?

I know few of you might not agree with my thinking but that’s how I am, just need to think in a broader manner, think beyond the temples, beyond the cast but need to think about the world, think about humans, in the end we all are humans. And the day we succeed in that, god will start showering the blessings at you.

Just my 2 cents of philosophy though…

Regards,
Deep

Note: I am by no means trying to prove that going to temple is wrong. It is belief of every individual and everyone is free to think best of their mind.

The point is, we just need to think in broad. Not to get stuck in our own narrow world. We need to grow up. We need to grow.. we need to grow..

Anyone heard about this movie, Jimmy? I guess no, actually it’s not worth knowing also. But I kind of wanted to watch this movie, not because I was expecting it to be a good movie but just because I wanted to watch macho man with kind of guy with Sachin Tendulkar’s voice. (No offence meant here though, just fun..) Talking about Mimoh, Mithun Chakraborty’s son.

Okay, so I reached the theatre at 10.30 AM for 10.35 AM show, got the ticket.. waited outside the screen 1. Was happy to see that it was still being cleaned up. Waited for around 10 minutes, still closed.

Finally, I asked someone at the helpdesk about it,

I told her - When is the show for Jimmy gonna start
She replied - Jimmy?
I said - Yea?
She asked again - Sir, Jimmy?
I replied - Yes, the movie Jimmy..
She checked my ticket to confirm, asked me to hold for a minute and went inside
She returned back with couple of guys, they all had a funny question mark sign on their face..
One of the staff members told me, Sir, unfortunately, we won’t be able to screen current show..
I asked them the reason for it?
He said, sir, because you are the only one who has booked the ticket for it..
I was like WTF.. there was one more guy yaar..
He replied - No sir, he was for some other movie.. we need atleast 4 people to start the movie..

Now, this incident reminded me of the movie Rocky, that movie had managed to get 3 people including me. But sadly, this one could not do that.

But I am no mood to review and go for it.. (though I am sure, my review would have give everyone a good laughter dose)

Anyways, that was my story.. pretty funny though.. I still remember, Sameer laughing out loud when I told him about it over the phone.. lol

Okay, now if anyone is still interested in the review, please read it on Buzz18 (Pretty funny review)

Well, the day has been pretty good and Google added some more fun in it.. I found this FedEX box on my desk when I returned home..

Fedex Box

The label said, from Google, this made me bit excited about this unexpected gift.. opened it..

Letter from Google

Ok, enough of “guess the gift” game..

it had 16 GB iPod Touch..

iPod Touch Box

Now the question is, how in the world I got it? Well, couple of months back, Google had some kind of survey for Adsense users and they had iPod touch as gift for the winners. I filled the survey, answered the questions with my personal suggestions.. and luckily I got this iPod from them :)

Never expected, infact I had forgotten about it also but yea, I love this kind of surprises..

Usability wise, it is fantastic, just superb, great features, Wifi option, surfing, mail check options.. actually almost all the features of iPhone.

So, that’s it.. time to play with my iPod Touch..

Me Listening to iPod Touch

THANKS GOOGLE.. YOU ROCK

Earlier, I had heard a lot about bank frauds in the news channels and papers but today I experienced it myself. Though my case is no where related to net banking or anything but it was purely related to forgery. Here is the story:

I bought a laptop for one of my office guys, gave the cheque of Rs. 28,500 to the computer guy’s person (A/C Payee). In the morning the computer guy calls me asks me to stop the payment of that cheque as his person had lost it somewhere. I called up my bank’s customer support, they asked me to call the branch to do it. In between that I checked my bank account and was shocked to see the exact amount withdrawn as cash. (Bearer cheque)

But it was a A/C Payee cheque, so how did it happen? How did the bank allow at the first place? Well, it’s pretty simple and dumb on bank’s part too. The guy copied my signature on top, canceled “Order” word, so it becomes a bearer cheque. I asked the bank to get the photo copy of cheque. After checking it, I found that, the fake signature the guy had made was wrong, it was not same as the original one but still bank allowed him to take the money out.

Also, they gave him money without the company’s stamp. (Generally company’s stamp is required if the cheque is on the name of any company)

Though we have found the person (It was the computer guy’s employee only) but we are planing to lodge complaint to the bank for such negligence. Even a kid can make out that two signs are different.

Btw, this is what the guy did:

- He first went to the bank and asked for the cash against the cheque
- The bank guy tells him, you need to cancel “By Order” and get the sign of the owner
- Guy goes back, copies my sign and withdraws the cash

I never knew bank fraud is so easy.. only 3 steps..

Note: The bank in question is AXIS Bank, the branch is Chembur (Mumbai) branch.

Okay, it’s 4.30 AM now, we were supposed to leave for Mahabaleshwar at 5 AM i.e. in half an hour. I think we might get delayed by an hour or so. Will be back on Tuesday. Not sure whether I will be able to post from there or not. (Most probably I am not gonna touch the my laptop)

So, catch you all later then..
