Good news folks.. just came across an article on rediff few minutes back. Apple is planning to launch iPhone in India. The phone is expected to release in the first week of September. The approximate price range could be between Rs. 27,000 to Rs. 28,000. Vodafone is going to release the phone in India. The price is approximately Rs. 10,000 more than what is available in US market. (USD 399)

And yea, another good news, this iPhone might be officially unlocked.

I was just checking Google’s official blog and found this super cool link… It is called Indic Transliteration from Google India Labs.

In simple words, it coverts the English words to Hindi. Say, for example, if you want to write,  “Ye Mera Blog hai” in Hindi, so just type the same thing in English and the application will convert the same in Hindi characters. Remember, it is not a translator, but it will just write the English words in Hindi.

Though that’s a different story that, when we write “Google bahut acchi site hai” it shows गूगल बहुत अच्छी सीते है (Google bahut acchi seete hai) haha

But it is fun, it will be a heaven for Hindi Bloggers.

This will be a great news for web developers /coders like me. Earlier to test the site in Safari, we had to check the site on Mac machine but now those days are gone, Apple today announced availability of their browser Safari 3 for windows.

If you are running Wordpress 2.1.1, then there is some bad news. According to announcement on Wordpress blog, a cracker managed to add some security exploit files in archive of Wordpress 2.1.1. 

Wordpress guys have fixed this issue in version 2.1.2.

Please update your Wordpress ASAP.

Time to rejoice for MTNL Triband users, all the users will be automatically upgraded to 2mbps from today. But this excludes customers under unlimited plan. But still I personally feel it is a great move. This will give a nice kick on the face of local net providers and it will make them upgrade their plans too.

I really love this kind of competition. This new year started off with great stuff.
