I was just checking Google’s official blog and found this super cool link… It is called Indic Transliteration from Google India Labs.

In simple words, it coverts the English words to Hindi. Say, for example, if you want to write, “Ye Mera Blog hai” in Hindi, so just type the same thing in English and the application will convert the same in Hindi characters. Remember, it is not a translator, but it will just write the English words in Hindi.

Though that’s a different story that, when we write “Google bahut acchi site hai” it shows गूगल बहुत अच्छी सीते है (Google bahut acchi seete hai) haha

But it is fun, it will be a heaven for Hindi Bloggers.

Go and play with it here

This was something which came as surprise. Earlier it used to take some time to load gmail from my mobile. And it was even kind of lengthy procedure to reply to mails, forward mails etc.. but this new application made my life real easy.

I downloaded the 113KB application from my mobile, installed it and Woha, a sleek cool interface opened in front of my eyes. I could see all the options (reply, delete, forward, report as spam etc..) for my mails and that too with shortcut keys.

Earlier I think only few options were available and it used to take ages to load the inbox but now it’s like, Zap!! too fast.

Well, this will be a very useful tool for lazy people like me who prefer paying in the end rather than taking backup in the beginning.

Warrick is a cool software which recovers the data of your site. It is a command line tool available for Windows and Linux both, it retrieves lost data by searching cached pages in Internet Archive, Google, Yahoo and MSN.

I really like the automation of the idea. Earlier we had to do this manually but this software surely makes job much more easier.

Looks funky eh?

It is…the shoes has music player with speakers and wireless headphones…and yeah..USB port too…it will be sold for approx $200 and will be launched in April 2006

Part of the information provided on their site:

The initial application under the Code M System product umbrella is a shoe that delivers music to a wireless headset in a simple, easy to use manner. The delivery system consists of two key components seamlessly built into Dada shoes, offering easy access to music with no wires and no digital music device to carry.

In this first application, the Code M system is integrated into the shoe’s heel and tongue. Its memory gives the device the ability to hold up to 100 songs with a six-hour battery life. A USB port on the lateral side of the shoe allows downloading of music and re-charging of the battery. Another important element in the system is the wireless headset, which picks up music from the shoes as far away as 30 feet. Consumers will thus be able to hear musical choices while wearing the shoes, as well as after removing them so long as they stay within a 30-foot radius of the shoes.
