It seems that I have to deal with these people every other day for some or other reasons.
I had bad experiences with ICICI customer support earlier but I just used to ignore it…coz sometimes it happens..
I wanted to apply for a credit card 6-7 months back…As I already have account with them so I just called them up and asked for credit card eligibility…They took all my details and told me that their sales representative would call me up…2 days, 3, days, 1 week….no one cared to call me back…I called them up again couple of times, I got same response…
Finally I got fed up with them, called up HSBC…their person called me back in a day and I finally got a credit card after providing all the required documents and all…
Few months after that I got a call from ICICI so called “Sales Representative”, asking “Sir do you need a credit card? We will give you 1 year for free, no service charges” I was like, dude just f**k off. When I needed the credit card none of you guys called me up and when I have one, You are asking me to have one more….

It is very recent experience, I want to apply for a personal loan so I just called up ICICI People first as I have 2 accounts with them (Savings and Current Account – For my Company).
I was expecting that there should not be any problem in getting loan from them since I already have 2 accounts with them and enough work experience…

This was the worst experience I have ever revived in my life, they give so much of wrong info to customers…

I was pretty impressed with ICICI that, their customer support is so quick and all..but last couple of bad experiences proved that…they are quick in picking up the phone but real bad in handling the situation after that…
Where HSBC and HDFC kept me waited for sometime…but my queries were solved…Most probably I will go with HSBC only…
So moral of the story…
If you guys are planning to take loan or credit card then keep one thing is mind that “ICICI is never gonna help me…”

ICICI Sucks, no doubt about it and HDFC is even one step ahead. Don’t even think of taking loan from them. I had long relationships with both the banks and believe me they are **** when it comes to service.
ICICI really sucks – I opened a NRE account few yrs back – I asked them to close my account recently after withdrawing the balance. They haven’t closed my account for 2 years now and my account shows a heavy -ve balance !! These folks are too screwed up.

they can be sued in a consumer court with charges of providing incomplete/inappropriate information to mislead the customer & if that happens, then that call center girl will definitely be fired for making that statement as no company boss will be pleased when any of their employees(especially customer support) make a statement that they don’t provide exact info on their company website, whether they do or not is irrelevant.
but given the condition of law & courts here, I doubt anyone would care to press the law suit, unless they’ve a good lawyer & decent cash in bank!! 🙄
and its not just ICICI bank, whatever bank that has a large customer base, they start behaving like jerks as if they own the customer. HDFC is not far behind, even after numerous calls from my branch’s executive to the customer support, they haven’t given me my mediclaim card that should come with my credit card, even after 5 months. if something happens to me & I need to use that mediclaim, I can’t obviously since I haven’t received the mediclaim card & what’s sucking is that they charge for the mediclaim surcharges etc. every month!! 🙄
and Standard Chartered is just same as well. first they issued a credit card without approval & have it sent & then after calling them repeatedly for cancelling it, they just don’t give any damn to it!! 🙄
bottomline is that all these companies/institutions who grow to have a large consumer base/clientele, they start treating them like vermin, as if they are doing any favour to their customers by providing services to them for a fee!!

HDFC Bank India is the worst managed bank i have ever seen!
hey people, please think twice before trying to get either any loan from HDFC Bank in India or even have any account with HDFC Bank India. by personal experience, they have the worst operations systems compared to even the smallest co-operative banks in the country. and if you want proof – i have plenty of proof as well as a set of subsequent apology letters from them!!!!
i have an overdraft account with them, and the conditions of the overdraft account are that minimum 3% of total overdrawn money on the 30/31 of the month has to be paid in before 10th of the next month. i normally utilise upto half of the overdraft limit and then deposit back almost all of utilized money by the 2/3 of the next month. But still their operations is so fucked up that they will mark you as a defaulter because you paid up 100% but you didnt pay 3% – can you imagine this screwup?!!!!
then their collections department will mark you for recovery and hand over your numbers to a contracted street-side ruffian agency, who will then start calling up and DEMAND (bhaigiri!!!!! dadagiri!!!!!) to PAY UP SAME DAY and then they will send people within an hour to your home/office.
this happened with me twice – once on december 2005 and again today 15/16 february 2006. i had the courage to walk up to their collections department situated on 3rd floor of Trade Star Building in Andheri East in Mumbai and gues what the collection department does? they will spend an hour looking into some computers and say that somebody has made a mistake somewhere, and that they are sorry for that and then they will issue a small 1 line apology letter.
you go home happily thinking the matter is over, but wait, thats just the beginning!!!!!!
the same story will be repeated every month or every alternate month!!!!!! NOW CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?????
hey folks, this has been happening so regularly with me, that next time i am going to get the police and consumer courts involved. Also, you know what people incharge of collections will tell you? the so called senior officers of collections – namely Vijay, Santosh Kamat, Sachin Karmalkar – they coolly say that their collection deparment salaries are directly related to the amount of collections that they make each month, so they do this regularly for that extra buck!!!!!!!! and they also defy you to either go to the police or go to consumer courts – they say nobody can harm them!
and hey – if anybody out here wants any proof – i have some video recordings of my meetings with them! as well as the apology letters!!!

The true pic of ICICI Bank needs to be put forward to people. They don’t provide any information to the customer. And everybody is giving different information and for every problem we have to contact customer care twice or thrice and everytime new person picks up the phone and we haveto explain the query everytime to everybody. Something happened withme also. I tried to book tickets from airdeccan through internet banking. The transaction was unsuccessful and i didn’t get any PNR number. I don’t know why the amount is dwebited if the transaction was noty successful. After that to raise refund against those transactions from airdeccan , airdeccan wants some PG number and trace number. And they told me that bank people will give me thsoe numbers. Now ICICI is not giving me these numbers.What todo? Neither airdeccan is going to help me without PG number and trace number nor ICICI is helpingm eout. So where to go. Every 2nd or 3rd month we have to contact ICICI customer care. And they don’t have answers for those.

Yes. i do agree that ICICI bank is worst bank to deal with. I have been paying pre-emi for last 2 years even after signing required documents to start the EMI of homeloan 60laks. Moreover, ICICI has forged my signatures in the documents so they could not start EMI and asking me to sign fresh sets of documents again. When I ask for land documents, they are not showing me nor giving me attested copy of the documents saying that It’s company policy not to provide details. I have already filed a consumer case which is on-going now and recently I reported entire incident along with required documents to bank of Ombudsman, RBI.
First of All, ICICI Bank Sucks. I would NEVER EVER SUGGEST ANYONE TO FO ICICI Bank.
One more ICICI Bank frustrated guy. They sent me some fake late payment charges and interest charges in my credit card statement and then blocked my savings bank account. The cost of handling a call center by ICICI or any other bank is not supported by a direct profit. It is considered to be an operational cost, which is rather a liability than a benefit.
The banks are now keen to employ cheap staff and let go expensive veterans. Though they cry of attrition, the reality is, they want people to leave so as to employ cheap labour on a cycle basis.
And in the verge of saving cust. Customer service is compromised.
And so are you all frustated. Better choose internet banking. Do it yourself, then rely on some cheap, low value morons.

My name is Mr. Murali K, I am working in ADVENTNET Development Center. Three weeks back two of the marketing guys(Mr.Prabu and Mr.Guru) approached me for the housing loan.That time I was only intersted on buying land NOT housing loan. They said ICICI is giving land loan also so you can buy land through ICICI land loan. They asked me my salary details and they promised me to get the landloan.
Then they came and collected my documents(three months Salary slip, six months bank statement, Oppointment Order, and Blank check in the name of ICICI Bank Ltd.).The next day, Mr.Prabhu called me up and said that my eligibility for the landloan is 9 Lakhs. So, I decided to buy one land for 7.5 lakhs and informed this matter to Mr.Balaji(Sr.Executive-Sanctions) and he said everything is OK and there is no problem in getting loan and he asked me to give the land document for verification. I gave my land documents to Mr.Guru for the verification.
On 24th they debited Rs.3648/- from my HDFC account for the processing fee. Then they didn’t contact me. After two days i contacted Mr. Balaji and he said loan has been sanctioned and we are in the process of verifying the land documents. After two days, Mr. Prabhu came to my house and gave the Loan approval documents(I have attached the scanned copy of that document with this mail and Business Cards). After that there was no response from them.
So, Again i called up Mr. Balaji for further details. He said we can’t give the loan for you, As 75% of the loan amount is 3.5 Lakhs and it is below 5 Lakhs. That too in last minute. I was really shocked. They asked me to wait for some more days to find any feasibility to increase the loan amount.But Later they refused to give the loan. When i met Mr.Vijaya Prakash(MD-Franchisee of ICICI Home finace), he said my proposed land is in “Negative Area” and we can’t give the loan.That too in after three days.
I have already given advance amount to the land owner but now the bank people are saying we can’t give the loan. After getting favourable response only i took further steps. This is Highly frustrating service from ICICI bank.
:: If the bank can’t give loan less than 5 Lakhs, why did they agree to do so and charged me Rs3468/-?.
Now they are telling ICICI bank has stopped giving land loan 5 months back.
:: If the Bank is not giving land loan, why the hell they collected documents and processing fee from me???. It seems every thing was well played drama to get the Admin fee. I feel i was cheated by ICICI people.

I don’t know how to deal with this. My father was using a credit card provided by the ICICI bank for the last 10 years, last 3 years back the organization he was working with closed down and no benefits were provided to the employees. The credit card my father was using had a credit limit of 35000. He never failed to pay the monthly statements generated on the usage of the card, however due to severe financial crisis he is no more in a position to pay, and the total outstanding of the card according to ICICI is about Rs.100000, which includes usage and interest. I am working and willing to pay the outstanding. I have been asking for a settlement for the last 6 months every time they collected the monthly payments, but till date all they have been doing is promising that the settlement would be done next month and all that I need to do is pay the current months statement. And the next month never came. Now I have stopped paying and have written a letter to the Mumbai head office requesting a final settlement.
I am receiving arrogant calls at my residence with threatening of people breaking into my house and so on. My father is 65 yrs of age and entirely dependant on me. They fake there names and calls at my residence, but when I call back the number I have been provided, there is nobody by that name. When I call them up for settlement they hang-up on me.
My first question if the credit card had a credit limit of Rs.35000
How can the credit outstanding be Rs.100000?
Secondly, how do I stop the abusive calls and do the settlement is a civilized way?

I recently opened an account with ICICI bank as a salary account for my new job. I needed to transfer some money to my father’s account with another bank in Delhi and used internet banking to do so.
The transaction has not been credited to the target account but debited from my account on 2nd and I have no idea where my money is. I am appalled by the quality of serice and customer care this bank has provided. I have been trying to contact the correct person in charge and ask for details but people in ICICI, Microsoft Campus, Gachibowli, Hyderabad branch are not giving me any answers. The customer care person I talked to over the phone refused to provide me with contact details of any senior AGM/DGM I could contact in this regard.
The branch personnel are telling me that the transfer has been made through ECS Fund Transfer on 5th and they have received a confirmation from the traget bank. They claim that the transaction must be pending with the target bank somehow.
The phone banking personnel did not lodge a complain when I called them yesterday and just asked me to wait for a few more days. Today I was told that the transaction is made through RTGS and gave me somethinga called the RBI ref. number. What is really the case – RTGS or ECS fund Transfer? I am not even clear about that. I have been told that RBI will be contacted in this regard and to wait for another 3 days! In any case why has me account been debited and the target account still not credited? Everytime I contact someone they claim a maximum of 5 days for the transfer and today is already the 7th day and I am not even getting straight answers.
I atleast want written proof that ICICI has transferred the money befoe I can pursue target bank :(, but these people just keep on stalling me.

I got my fund transfer completed after I escalated the issue through email and also talked to the service manager at ICICI call center. I also received a mail from ICICI that they have taken a note of my posting on this web-site and they offered me help in this regard.

This is to bring to your kind notice that I made a request for opening two new FDs at ICICI Bank Manimajra ,Chandigarh branch on 9 AUG 2006.
I made the payment through a ICICI Bangalore Cheque. Since this cheque was a “Payable at Par Cheque� so its obvious that it could be processed at any ICICI Bank branch across India.
My ICICI Account Number is 000201559319
According to current market standards and the Service Levels of ICICI I expected that the amount will be debited from my account on 10 AUG (Next Working Day) and the FDs should be created from 10 Aug itself.
But unfortunately this did not happen. The FDs were not made till16 Aug. There were 5 working days between 9Aug and 16 Aug.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHY I SHOULD LOOSE THE INTEREST FOR 5 DAYS IF I HAVE MADE THE PAYMENTS TO ICICI.

I am abbas i have took a personal loan of Rs.30,000/- from ICICI bank before 6 months. that time they have told me 2.5% interest but now they are leving me to pay 57.98% of interest. Till now i have paid 6 Emi of Rs 1774/-. but totally i need to pay Rs.63864/- in this amount the interest amount is Rs 33864/-. I am telling this is a cheating with me if this problem is not sloved then defently i need to approch media as well as Higher authorities. Plz lookin to my matter and slove this problem and cheating with others also.

Are the call center employess are from the icici or have they been out sourced and i don;t not belive why the have not been trained in customer handling and soft skills.many of customer support does not know the lastest updates happening .Once I had an issue where there was a small problem in cheque and they said they will be returning the cheque back to my residence but however after 7 days when i called up they said its in suppense account and i had to follow up to get my cheque crdited
