Okay, it was a almost carbon copy of the Will Smith starrer Hitch.  I knew from beginning that the movie is based on the story of Hitch but I never expected the scenes also will be copied, that too cut to cut, exact same. Few of the instances were also copied from the movie Are we there yet?

Okay, for those who do not know Hitch, let me give idea about the story.

Prem (Salman Khan) is love guru (consultant) who helps people with his interesting love tips. Bhaskar (Govinda) who is one of his clients and needs help badly because he is in love with his boss, Priya (Katrina Kaif). So that’s the story, Prem helps him and everyone knows the end of the story. And yea, in between this, Prem also falls in love with journalist Naina (Lara Dutta).

First half of the movie was really entertaining compared to the 2nd. Govinda steals the show totally. (Yeah, I know he was very loud too) But in the 2nd half, the director (David Dhawan) tried to move the things quickly but in some places it just got messed up. (Specially the track of Priya’s marriage). Some of the unwanted characters too were added. Rajpal Yadav in the role of Chota Don was totally wasted, there was absolutely no need for his character.

BUT, if you compare this movie with the ones which have released in past 2 weeks. This one stays on top of everyone, atleast it entertains you.

So to sump it up, it was an entertaining movie but you have to keep your brains aside. (Well, that is common in all David Dhawan flicks) Salman Khan suits well in the role of Love Guru, Govinda was just superb. (This movie is surely going to give him boost) Lara Dutta and Katrina Kaif stole my heart. But on the acting front, they were perfect too. The child actor who plays Naina’s son was impressive. Music of the movie was just about OK, couple of songs were good.

So overall, I would rate this movie [rating:2.5] but I am sure this movie will do good business.
